FRIDAY, JUNE 25
1:30 Faculty arrive at the Minneapolis/St. Paul airport by this time (or at Carleton by 3:00 p.m.)
4:00 Faculty meeting, small groups and dinner (6:30)
8:30-9:30 Orientation for new faculty and those new to working with Native students
SATURDAY, JUNE 26
8:00-9:00 Continental Breakfast
11:00-12:00 Brunch
12:30 Students flying in arrive no later than this time into Minneapolis/St. Paul (college faculty will greet)
1:00-3:00 Student registration & dorm check-in (college faculty present to greet)
3:30-4:00 Introductions and welcome
4:00-5:30 Financial Aid Planning Session for parents
4:00-5:30 Mini-Fair for colleges and students (parents last 1/2 hour - parents please depart by 5:30)
5:30-6:30 Dinner
6:30-7:30 Student campus tour
7:00-7:30 Faculty meeting
7:30-9:00 Welcome and opening blessing. Introductions. Go over schedules, homeroom assignments, rules and expectations. All meet briefly in small group rooms. Small group faculty then review student files.
10:30 In dorms, 12:00 in rooms
SUNDAY, JUNE 27

8:30-9:30 Session 1: Icebreakers - Getting to know you (everyone attends)
9:45-11:30 Small Groups: All students complete the following this week: 1.Resume 2.Common Application, including typed essay (sent out ahead of time) 3. List of 10 colleges to apply to 4. Analysis of the FAFSA (financial aid form).

1:30-3:00 Session 2: Small groups: Case studies (students are the admission committee)
3:00-5:00 Students - Work time. Computer lab and athletic complex open.

7:00-8:30 Session 3: The application process (and debrief Case Studies)

12:45-2:00 Session 10: Breaking Away and College Survival - parents invited. Closing blessing.

Airport transportation leaves right after Session 10.

Departing flights must leave no earlier than 4:30 p.m.

Students must be off campus by 3 p.m.
