FRIDAY, JUNE 18
2:00 Faculty arrive at the Pasco (2:30 Walla Walla) airport by this time (or at Whitman College by 3:00 p.m.)
2:00-4:00 Faculty and Staff room check-in at Prentiss Hall
4:00 Faculty meeting, small groups
6:30 Dinner, location TBA
8:30-9:30 Orientation for new faculty and those new to working with Native students
SATURDAY, JUNE 19
1:00 Students flying in arrive no later than this time into Pasco or Walla Walla (college faculty will greet)
1:00-3:00 Student registration & dorm check-in (college faculty present to greet), Prentiss Hall
3:30-4:00 Introductions and welcome - Campus Center Ballroom
4:00-5:30 Financial Aid Planning Session for parents
4:00-6:00 Mini-Fair for colleges and students (parents last 1/2 hour - parents please depart by 6:00)
6:00-7:00 Dinner
7:00-8:00 Student campus tour
7:30-8:00 Faculty meeting
8:00-9:00 Welcome and opening blessing. Introductions. Go over schedules, homeroom assignments, rules and expectations. All meet briefly in small group rooms. Small group faculty then review student files.
10:30 In dorms, 12:00 in rooms
SUNDAY, JUNE 20
7:00-8:00 Breakfast
8:15-9:15 Session 1: Icebreakers - Getting to know you (everyone attends)
9:30-11:15 Small Groups: All students complete the following this week: 1.Resume 2.Common Application, including typed essay (sent out ahead of time) 3. List of 10 colleges to apply to 4. Analysis of the FAFSA (financial aid form).
11:30-12:30 Lunch
12:45-1:15 College presentations
1:30-3:00 Session 2: Small groups: Case studies (students are the admission committee)
3:00-5:00 Students - Work time. Computer lab and athletic complex open.
3:00-3:30 Faculty meeting

5:30-6:30 Dinner
7:00-8:30 Session 3: The application process (and debrief Case Studies)
8:30-10:30 Computer lab open

3:00-5:00 Students - Work time. Computer lab and athletic complex open.

3:30-5:00 Campus Tour and Info session for counseling staff (optional)
5:00-5:30 College presentations
5:30 Cook out in Quad (Counseling staff have the evening off)

5:30-6:30 Dinner (College faculty have the evening off)

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 23

8:00-9:00 Small Groups: final projects due. Pass out evaluations.
9:15-10:15 Session 9: Native students and college
10:25-10:55 College presentations
Check out before session 10 if you are departing campus at 12:15
11:00-12:00 Session 10: Awarding of certificates - parents invited. Hand in evaluations. Closing blessing.
12:00-1:00 Dorm checkout, box lunches available in dorm lobby.

Airport transportation leaves.

Departing flights must leave no earlier than 2:30 p.m.

Students must be off campus by 2 p.m.
